The traditional English coastal resort of Great Yarmouth lies at the mouth of the River Yare (clearly from where it got its name), it has a populace of about seventy thousand residents, it sits between the Broads and the North Sea. A fishing port for generations and just recently it has served the various offshore rigs that are based off this coast. Yarmouth grew as a fishing port and harbour over the 13th and 14th centuries, though a certain amount of fighting took place involving the sailors of the Cinque Ports and those of Yarmouth, with a number of ships lost in the process. In thirteen forty eight the Black Death broke out in Yarmouth, and struck it in a more destructive way than it did literally any city or town in England, with about three quarters of the residents killed.

Between the town walls and the river the structures were actually compressed together along over 140 narrow passageways often known as 'Rows', a few not even one yard wide, a selection of of them remain in existence to this day.
